- Self-love Meditation 02
Session 02/05
Transcript
Hello and thank you for listening to this guided meditation for gratitude and self love. Gratitude helps to bring your focus on to what is already working out in your life versus what is not working in your life. It’s surprising how fast your mood perception and physical body can feel better just by changing what you focus on. Ultimately, gratitude is a form of love. So by focusing on what you are grateful for about yourself and others, you are giving yourself and others love take a moment to note what your mood is on a scale from one to 10.
At the end of this meditation, you’ll check in with how you feel again so you can see how much love you gave yourself. As I say some gratitude prompts during this meditation simply answer with as many things that pop into your mind as you wish it could be one answer or 15. If you can’t think of anything that is okay to just keep breathing and relaxing and wait for the next question. There are no right or wrong answers here. Take a moment to get comfortable where you are.
Relax your body.
And find a breathing tempo that feels right for you today.
Slow and relaxing.
Breathe all the way down to your lower belly, and back out again.
In and out.
Observe any pleasant sensations from your ability to breathe.
Perhaps how your breath feels light, smooth, calm, relaxing.
Just being very present with your breath all of the sensations of your breath.
What are you thankful for about your breath?
What are you thankful for about your lungs?
What are you thankful for about your body?
What are you thankful for about your heart?
What are you thankful for about your blood?
What are you thankful for about your bones?
What are you thankful for about your muscles?
Again there’s no right or wrong answers sometimes the sillier the answer the easier it can be.
What are you thankful for about your nervous system?
What are you thankful for about your inner organs?
What are you thankful for about your immunity?
What are you thankful for about your hormone health?
What are you thankful for about your skin, or your complexion?
As I continue asking these questions, see if you can feel your gratitude towards these things in your body. Feel the emotions of gratitude and thankfulness if you can. If you feel nothing that’s okay.

Just breathe as you find what you are grateful for about this.

Just breathe as you ponder over what you’re thankful for regarding mindfulness.

Just breathe as you gaze around you and find what you are grateful for.
What are you thankful for in life?
And again just breathe as you find what you are grateful for in life.
What memories are you thankful for?
Just breathe as you’re doing this.
Who are you thankful for in life?
Just breathe as you’re pondering over the people that you’re grateful for.
What are you thankful for about these people in your life?
And just continue breathing as you’re doing this.
Wonderful, as mentioned before, check in with your mood now and see how you feel from a scale of one to 10. Is it any better? Do the results surprise you?
Feel the sensations in your body now like the weight of your body resting upon the chair floor, couch or whatever you’re resting upon.
Perhaps feel the feeling of fabric on your skin, or the temperature that you feel.
Hear the sounds surrounding you, perhaps sounds that are close by or far away.
Smell any scents that are surrounding you, perhaps the subtle smell of the room you are in if there is one.
Taste any flavors on your tongue, perhaps what you drank earlier, or the toothpaste from brushing your teeth.
Observe what you see around you, just taking in the scenery, the colors, the light versus shadow around you.
And take a gentle stretch when you’re ready, being very mindful of anything around you so you don’t accidentally hit it.
Anytime you would like some extra love in your life through gratitude, just stop on by again. Thank you for listening and have a gratitude filled day. If you would like to continue this meditation on your own, consider finding gratitude for other aspects of yourself or for other people in your life.
