Transcript

Hello and welcome to this guided meditation for loving your body.

Your body is a beautiful instrument that you use to interact with life. It’s important to take the time to honor all that your body does for you. Your body is like a family member that is always on your side is always there for you and always understands you the most you and your body. We’re there for each other from your birth and through all of your experiences so far. Let’s take some time to honor your amazing body and give your body some well deserved love.

Place your hands on your heart and breathe feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you breathe out. Allow your breath to settle into a relaxing and slow tempo breathing all the way down to the bottom of your torso if you comfortably can.

See if you can feel any love or appreciation for your body perhaps for how much your body does for you or how well it works throughout the day without you needing to tell it what to do. Let’s go through one body part at a time just appreciating and loving it. If this feels foreign to do, pretend like your body is an animal companion that you can love and cherish. Find a way to make this fun and enjoyable. It’s nothing serious. You can lower your hand down now if you wish to.

Let’s start with the very top of your head. Feel the love for your head and neck as you breathe as if with each breath you could send this parts of your body love, affection, and acknowledgement.

This includes your brain that controls your nervous system.

Your eyes that allow you to perceive color, depth, textures and shapes.

Your nose that you can detect scents.

Your ears that you can hear the world.

Your mouth and tongue that lets you taste food.

Your neck that gives you flexibility to move through life.

Simply be present with giving this part of your body love as you breathe, keep breathing and let’s go to your shoulders and arms now as if with each breath you could send this part of your body love, affection and acknowledgement.

Feel the love for your shoulders and the mobility that they give.

Your arms for the strength that they provide you with.

And your wrists and hands for their dexterity and handiness.

Simply be present with giving this part of your body love as you breathe.

Keep breathing and let’s go to your torso now, as if with each breath you could send this part of your body love, affection and acknowledgement.

Feel love for your chest and rib-cage and how it protects all your important organs inside.

Your lungs for filtering the air that you breathe.

So your heart can give oxygen to your body.

Your liver for doing so many things like filtering your blood.

Your kidneys are helping you to remove waste.

Your entire digestive system for converting food into energy.

Your immune system for keeping you safe and protecting you.

Your spine for how it supports you up in life.

Your abdomen which keeps you stable yet flexible.

And your pelvic area for supporting your organs here, including your reproductive system that can create life itself.

Simply be present with giving this part of your body love as you breathe.

Keep breathing and feel love for your legs now, as if with each breath you could send this part of your body love, affection and acknowledgement.

Feel love for how they support you in life and allow you to walk, run and dance.

And your knees for how much flexibility they give you in your movement.

And how your feet and ankles balance your bodies so well and easily.

Simply be present with giving this part of your body love as you breathe.

Your body works in perfect harmony together from your endocrine system to your nervous system, from your bones to your skin. There is so much to be grateful for, to love and to honor, as you breathe consider these words. If you disagree with any of them, just ignore them. You can repeat these after me, or let them wash over you as you just relax here.

Thank you body for all you have done for me.

I appreciate how you support me through life.

I honor your intelligence and wisdom.

I am thankful for all that you do even without my awareness.

I am looking forward to giving you more and more love every day.

I love you body.

Wonderful. Now when you feel ready to just take a gentle stretch, being very careful of your surroundings.

Feel your body move and how lovely it feels to stretch out. Wiggle your fingers and hands, and your toes and feet, getting movement back into your body again.

Take a few deep breaths in and out. In and out. In and out.

Take some time to just come back into your day and there is no rush, take as long as you need.

If you would like to continue this meditation on your own, simply continue to find even more ways that you can love your body by focusing on one body part at a time. Thank you for listening to this meditation and I hope you have a beautiful day. See you next time.

Your body is a beautiful instrument that you use to interact with life. It's important to take the time to honor all that your body does for you.
