In today’s meditation, we will use the practice of positive mantra to infuse our subconscious with affirming thoughts. By changing our mindset, we can drastically change our experiences of pregnancy and birth. It allows us to release unhelpful beliefs and fears we might hold about these events in our lives. To get the most benefit from this meditation, repeated regularly throughout your pregnancy, especially in the days and weeks leading up to birth. Changing your mindset takes repetition and commitment, give it time to allow the process to work. As I recite the positive mantras, repeat them to yourself in your head. Breathe into your heart space each time we start a new mantra, and imagine the word sitting in your heart. It may feel unusual or strange at first, but as we practice this repetition and visualization, we can start to make these mantras a part of our own belief system where they are most powerful. Let us start by using the breath to move into a deep state of relaxation. Breathe in deeply to the low belly. Feel the side ribs all the way up to the top of the chest. Fill the entire lungs full with breath. Hold them full for a moment enjoying the pause at the end of each breath. And then gently soften and release on the exhale. Allow all of the air to leave the lungs pausing for a moment with the lungs completely empty before slowly breathing in again. Breathe in. Pause breathe out. Pull. Breathe in. Pause. Breathe out. or allow your conscious thinking mind to drift away as the body rests in complete relaxation. Allow the subconscious mind to receive the affirmations as I recite them to you.
My body and mind are strong. I trust my instincts I surrender with confidence. Strong contractions are a sign of my body strength. My body was designed to do this. The power and intensity of my contractions cannot be stronger than me because they are a part of me.
My job is to simply relax and allow the birth to happen. My body has a wide space for my baby to descend. My body is beautiful and perfectly made 300,000 women are also giving birth today I will connect with their collective strength. The experience of labor and birth is a great gift. I will breathe slowly and deeply relax my muscles and bring oxygen to our baby. This is what my body was designed to do. Relax, breathe open. I am a strong capable woman. I accept myself completely here and now. I am completely relaxed and comfortable. I am doing this exactly right and exactly as nature intended. My body knows what to do. I will surrender fully and completely.
I will ride each wave as it comes. I trust my body to birth my baby. I trust that my body knows exactly what it’s doing.
I am excited to give birth to my baby. I trust in my ability to birth my baby, I am completely relaxed. axed I am deserving of an easy uncomplicated birth. I visualize an easy, peaceful, joyous and pleasurable birth. My baby is happy and healthy. My baby feels my calm and relaxed state. My courage and patience will send my baby into my arms. My body is made to give birth nice and easy. I believe my baby’s birth will come quickly and easily. My body is completely relaxed. I have courage, faith and patience. I am in complete control of what is going on around me. My body will give birth on its own time. I am ready and prepared for my birthing experience. My job is to simply relax and allow my birth to happen. I visualize myself handling everything beautifully. Everything is going exactly as it should. I feel the strong waves of labor and know that everything is normal and progressing. I relaxed my mind and my body. My body knows how to have this baby. Just as my body knew how to grow this baby. Inhale peace. Exhale tension. I keep my mind focused on acceptance and surrender. I surrender my birthing over to my baby and my body. I love my baby and I’m doing all that is necessary to bring about a healthy birth. I am ready and prepared for childbirth. My job is to simply relax and allow the birth to happen. Each contraction produces a healthy positive pain that I can handle. Birth will go exactly as it should. I believe I will have a wonderful empowering birth. When you’re ready to start to return, bring your awareness back to your breath. Allow each breath to help you to feel lighter and lighter. Notice that the conscious thinking mind starts to return. Feel back into your body. ground yourself here with intention. And then set the intention to take these positive affirmations out with you into your day. Use them whenever negative thoughts arrive. When you feel completely awake and ready to return, start to ease yourself back into your day.
