Hello, and welcome to guided meditation VR. My name is Alamay and it is lovely to meet you. This is the first meditation in a 10 part series. You can listen to them in any order you wish. Before we begin, just make sure you are comfortable where you are. Relax back into the chair or surface you’re resting upon. give your body a moment to settle in.
In this meditation, we will explore the concept of change in life and how to flow through it. Our lives are always changing whether we wish them to or not, it is out of our control. What is in our control is how we respond to the change in our lives. We can tighten up and brace ourselves for the inevitable change or we can relax back and allow the change to flow through us.
However you approach change is up to you as there is no right or wrong way to experience life. But in this specific meditation, we will explore the choice of relaxing back and allowing change to flow through you. Let’s begin. First, take a moment to connect with your breath. Feel the sensations in your body as you breathe in. And now sometimes it can be helpful to place a hand on your chest or belly so you can feel the rise and fall of your torso as you breathe.
Feel the temperature of the air as it enters and leaves your body. Feel the expansion and contraction of your lungs as you breathe in and out.
Allow your breath to move at whatever pace it’s naturally at today. No need to adjust anything. Imagine that you could let go of your regular life for just a moment. All of your responsibilities, your to do lists or goals. Were just put aside for a moment. As if you could lift it off of you like armor and place it on the ground beside you.
The environment that you see or hear in this virtual experience is all there is just you the beautiful music and the environment that you see.
Back to the basics. Nothing to do nothing to think of just you enjoying the simplicity of this moment. Just you and your breath just you and your body in this moment of time.
No future and no path. No time and no restrictions. What is this lightness? This peace and the surrender of the moment could be felt all throughout your life.
What if any restrictions that you felt were just a construct? What if you did not have to put your armor back on that sits beside you?
What if you could move through your life efficiently and effortlessly allowing life to move through you. You still feel it, you just don’t resist it.
And whenever you are ready, taking your time feeling your feet perhaps wiggling your toes, feeling their connection with the surface they are resting upon.
Feeling your legs again. Perhaps moving them around lightly. Feeling your torso, the movement of your breath. Perhaps moving this area lightly feeling your arms and the sensations in them. Perhaps moving them around lightly and slowly feeling your hands on your fingers, wiggling them slowly feeling your neck in your head just moving this area slowly.
Perhaps taking a deep and gentle stretch with your body. Careful not to hit anything around your surroundings.
Wonderful job. How did you find this experience. If you wish, you can take the armor beside you and put it back on.
Or you can leave it there for now and move through life from a different place. The next time something happens in life that’s a change. Consider coming back to this meditation and just breezing through it or trying this on your own.
Change still may be challenging sometimes but it will pass. If we move through change with resistance though. The challenge is simply delayed for another day.
